Hi,

are we counting the downloads of UnifiedInstaller packages from plone.org?

If the answer is yes, we now have the number of new users scared off.
https://dev.plone.org/ticket/13025

I am sorry for this rant, but releasing a UnifiedInstaller which fails
to install on Mac OS X is a good way to scare new users off.

Is it possible to have a checklist entry (UnifiedInstaller tested by
at least three users on each platform) before releasing?

We advertise Plone to be easy to install and easy to try out. We can
stop doing this if Plone does not install at all.

Taking care of it.

(We have yet to release the 10.5 and 10.6 Mac Installer for 4.2 and 4.1.6, so the UnifiedInstaller should be working)

That is a valid point. I'll get back to the Installers Team to discuss our processes and see what can be improved.

best,
